Moses Dharma Balan is the founder and driving force behind Aaladipattiyan, a brand that has redefined how Tamil Nadu experiences traditional sweets and savouris. A man of vision and humility, Moses built this enterprise on a single, unshakeable conviction: that authentic flavours deserve to reach every household.
Hailing from Surandai in Tirunelveli, Moses grew up surrounded by the fragrance of freshly-made halwa simmering in iron vessels. Those childhood aromas became the foundation of APL Sweets & Savouris — a brand that insists on zero preservatives, traditional recipes, and pure ingredients in every single product.
Under his leadership, Aaladipattiyan grew from a single outlet to a thriving network of 50+ outlets across Chennai and Tamil Nadu. His model empowers local entrepreneurs while keeping quality consistent across every location.
Moses' leadership philosophy is simple: serve people the way the banyan tree serves the village — silently, reliably, and without asking for anything in return. That spirit permeates every layer of Aaladipattiyan.
